Originally released 8 October 2012 on Ninja Tune, Wheels Turn Beneath My Feet is Fink's debut live album, documenting the Perfect Darkness Tour through thirteen previously unreleased live recordings captured across Copenhagen, London, Amsterdam, Vienna, Paris and Lyon between 2011 and 2012. Experience Vinyl's own account: "2011 was a big year for Fink. Following the release of fourth studio album Perfect Darkness, the English singer-songwriter took off on his biggest tour yet, together with longtime bandmates Tim Thornton (drums/guitar) and Guy Whittaker (bass). Playing a wide-ranging, spellbinding set of their finest songs so far, they hit 14 European countries and sold 20,000 tickets in the process." The production matched the ambition: Fink collaborated with award-winning designers 59 Productions, the studio behind War Horse and Stranger Things, on a bespoke lighting installation and custom-shot projections. The original 2012 vinyl went on to become one of the most sought-after live records in Ninja Tune's catalogue, prized by audiophiles for its recording quality, with Discogs collectors describing it as "one of my best sounding records — the live atmosphere is just superbly captured" and calling repeatedly for it to be repressed. Fink is the project of English singer-songwriter Fin Greenall, now based in Berlin, whose seven studio albums for Ninja Tune have soundtracked The Walking Dead, Better Call Saul and Ava DuVernay's Selma.
