PRINCE AND THE REVOLUTION - AROUND THE WORLD IN A DAY (1985)

ORIGINAL US FIRST PRESSING CD LONGBOX PACKAGING ONLY — CLEAN RARE PROMO VARIANT

This is a highly collectible, original 1985 early-era CD longbox packaging for Prince’s masterpiece album, Around the World in a Day.

Most of these boxes were torn open and discarded in the mid-1980s, making standalone survivors exceptionally rare.

PACKAGING ONLY NOTE: This listing is for the BOX/PACKAGING ONLY. There is NO CD, jewel case, or music media included.

WHAT MAKES THIS COPY SPECIAL:

This is the highly sought-after RARE PROMO VARIANT featuring no barcode. Unlike standard retail versions, it lacks a barcode block.

Unlike Record Club versions (like Columbia House), it does not have a clunky text block stamped over the image.

The stunning, psychedelic gatefold illustration by Doug Henders runs completely uninterrupted edge-to-edge on the back panel, making this the absolute premier version for custom framing and display.

CONDITION DETAILS (As Pictured):

Front & Back Panels: Exceptionally bright, deep, and vibrant colors. The glossy finish is beautifully preserved with zero fading or sunlight damage.

Surface: Very clean. No severe surface scuffs, creases, or deep scratches across the illustrations.

Edges & Corners: The box retains excellent structural integrity. Very minor, typical soft shelf wear at the extreme edges, but absolutely no major crushing, tearing, or splitting.

No Defacements: 100% clean. No old price stickers, sticky tape residue, marker marks, promo stamps, or handwriting anywhere on the piece.

Please review all high-resolution photos carefully to judge the exact physical condition for yourself.
