Three old children\'s records walked into Guess Where Thrift... and somehow I ended up with German folk songs, Gilbert & Sullivan, and a record that actually traveled from Germany to Virginia. 😂

German children\'s songs with the Regensburg Cathedral choir. This release is documented as a 1960 German Polydor LP.

The cover has handwritten names/address information from a previous owner, including Alexandria, Virginia. I actually kind of love stuff like this because clearly this record had a whole life before it landed in my pile.

CONDITION

These are vintage and they definitely did not spend the last 60+ years sitting untouched on a shelf looking pretty.

The jackets show age and storage wear including rubbing, edge/corner wear, discoloration, handwriting and other signs of use. Please look closely at all photos.

The vinyl has shine but also visible surface wear, scratches and scuffs. The Gilbert & Sullivan record in particular has several substantial scratches that are clearly visible in the photos. I don\'t want anybody opening the box and saying, “Well Jessica conveniently forgot THAT.” Nope. There they are.

Any bright white or rainbow-looking reflections across the vinyl in my photos are from my ceiling lights. The scratches you can actually see, however, are scratches.

None of these records have been listened to at all and they are being sold untested. Running Guess Where Thrift as a one-woman band means apparently listening to every record that wanders through the door would require me to hire another Jessica, and frankly one of me is enough.

Because they have not been play-tested and there is visible wear, please purchase with that in mind. I took plenty of pictures so you can judge the condition for yourself. I do not professionally grade records.
