Edward J. McGoldrick Jr.
Pathé 704 Spoken Word LP

Ships bagged, vinyl in new white paper sleeve outside of jacket, padded with cardboard and in a rugged LP mailer.

Vintage spoken-word LP presenting Edward J. McGoldrick Jr.'s controversial approach to alcoholism, specifically directed toward women.

A 1961 TIME Magazine article discussed both this record and its companion LP, Conquer Your Alcoholism. While TIME described McGoldrick as“tough and blunt” toward the male listener, telling them that,“You are not sick. You are a flop, a failure, a drunk,”it noted that on Tormented Women LP he “becomes almost gallant.”

An unusual piece of early 1960s spoken-word, self-help, psychology and alcoholism history.

Original sealed shrink wrap was personally removed by me because the aged plastic had become cloudy and obscured the clean and bright cover artwork.
