You are looking at the Vertigo Vinyl Exclusive of Tinashe's Popstar — pressed on Dance Floor Splatter vinyl, limited to 500 hand-numbered copies, available for PRESALE ahead of the album's September 25, 2026 release. Vertigo Vinyl state plainly that once this pressing sells out, it will not be repressed. Popstar is Tinashe's eighth studio album, released through Nice Life Recording Company, Atlantic Records and her own Tinashe Music imprint, and it marks her first major album rollout under Atlantic. Running sixteen tracks, it is twice the length of 2024's Quantum Baby and a standalone project rather than a continuation of her BB/Baby trilogy. Speaking to The Hollywood Reporter at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in March 2026, Tinashe described the record as "cutting-edge" and "innovative," blending R&B, pop, electronic and dance music in a way that resists easy categorisation. The cover shows a close-up of Tinashe in glasses with literal stars in her eyes. Four singles preceded the album: "Too Easy," first teased during her DJ set at Coachella and co-produced by kimj and "Nasty" co-producer Zack Sekoff, with a video offering a slyly satirical depiction of popstar life; "Crash Out," a synth-forward throwback to her mid-2010s era, with a choreography-heavy video creative directed by Tinashe herself; "Melatonin"; and the double single "Pillow Fight" and "I'd Rather Be Alone." Popstar follows the breakout success of Quantum Baby, whose single "Nasty" went viral and became her first solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100.
