$225.00

Up for sale is a museum-grade piece of cinema and music history: an original 1974 technical test pressing ofThe Exorcistfilm soundtrack, manufactured byColumbia Record Productionsat their legendary Santa Maria, California plant for Warner Bros. Records.PROVENANCE & BACKSTORY:
This is a true deadstock archive copy. It was acquired directly from the back-room storage inventory of a historic, long-standing brick-and-mortar record shop that originally opened in the 1930s and permanently closed its doors in the 1980s. This record was tucked away in climate-controlled storage for over 50 years, never sold to the public, and has passed through zero prior owners. It is an absolute time capsule.DETAILED CONDITION REPORT:

The Vinyl:Visual condition is a definitive top-tier Mint to Near Mint. The vinyl retains its deep, gorgeous factory luster and is entirely free of scuffs, hairline marks, or handling trails. The center labels are crisp, and the spindle hole is perfectly clean—proving the record has never been placed on a turntable.
The Inner Sleeve:Includes the original, era-correct "Warner/Reprise Loss Leaders" illustrated inner sleeve grabbed straight off the assembly line floor during production. The sleeve is sharp, crisp, clean, and completely uncut.
The Outer Jacket:The generic white factory cardboard jacket features the handwritten vintage notation"W-2774 Advance Copy"in the upper corner. Structurally, the jacket is incredibly sharp with rigid corners and solid, unsplit seams. It shows only the minor, typical shelf wear, light handling aging, and slight vintage storage spotting expected from a half-century-old blank white sleeve.
