ALBUM - EXCELLENT - only slightvisible wear, 2 is NM, 1 shows a couple light surface scuffs, so play tested sounded PERFECT (NM)

Up for sale is the classic 1964 self-titled US debut album from British Invasion legends The Animals, featuring their iconic transatlantic number-one smash hit single "House of the Rising Sun." This highly collectible vintage edition is a rare Capitol Record Club pressing October-November 1964 (Matrix: ST1-90687-W1 / ST2-90687-W3) struck at the Jacksonville plant, housed inside a highly desirable, authentic 1964 first-edition retail jacket variation that features the horizontal band portraits running across the top back cover. It also includes its original vintage company hype inner sleeve, which remains in great shape save for a single split along the bottom seam. To protect this historical piece, the record will be shipped securely in a dedicated cardboard mailer with the vinyl and inner sleeve removed from the jacket to prevent any further edge damage during transit.

For audiophiles, the true highlight of this package is the pristine playback quality. While the vinyl shows light visual paper scuffs on side one from age, it has been fully play-tested and delivers a spectacular, quiet, Near Mint (NM) audio performance completely free of distracting pops or crackles. This places the album in EXCELLENT condition. The original first-state jacket presents beautifully on the front with minimal ring wear, though it does have some wear and exhibit two small seam splits along the top edge and one minor split on the bottom, placing the cover at a solid VG standard.
