Stevie Wonder – Up-Tight (Original 1966 Tamla LP)

Vinyl is VG (Very Good ) notice light scuffs, hairline marks, or light scratches that are visible without needing to angle the record under a harsh light. It plays like VG+ could be due to sonic cleaning...I\'m shocked to be honest. No pops nor noise at the soft lead ins. Please review the high res photos. That paper sleeve was not kind to this album. But its heavy. Cannot feel the marrs.

| Sleeve is VG (Very Good) Wear & Tear: Moderate ring wear (the circular fading or impression left by the disc pressing against the cover over time) is usually present, along with minor creasing, corner dings, or scuffing along the edges

Playback: Professionally cleaned on a HumminGuru Ultrasonic Vinyl Cleaner for pristine analog sound.

About the Album: Cultural Impact & Legacy

Released in May 1966 on Motown’s Tamla label, Up-Tight marked a crucial transitional turning point for a 16-year-old Stevie Wonder. Moving away from his early billing as \"Little Stevie Wonder,\" this album captured his maturation into a formidable soul innovator, singer, and songwriter.

The title track, \"Uptight (Everything\'s Alright),\" became a massive crossover smash—reaching number one on the US R&B chart and cementing Motown\'s powerhouse mid-60s sound.

While it still featured the high-energy, horn-driven R&B and upbeat pop sensibilities of the era, the record laid essential groundwork for Wonder\'s later artistic evolution into full creative control and boundary-pushing 1970s funk and soul masterpieces.
