Premium Platinum Multi-Format LP & Cassette, Janet Jackson "Control":
$700.00

Welcome to a rare opportunity for serious music collectors. Over the next several months, I will be saleing a prized, single-owner collection of 11 authentic, period-correct RIAA gold and platinum sales awards from the late 1970s and 1980s.Every award in this historic collection was presented directly to legendary morning radio personality Bruce Kelly during his tenure at 104.7 KZZP in Phoenix, Arizona, one of the era's most influential and dominant Top 40 stations. This sale is for:

Artist: Janet Jackson
Title:"Control"
Award Type: RIAA [Platinum] [LP / Shadowbox]
Note:Highlydesirable due to the inclusion of the platinum cassette and LP format and record breaker.

Provenance & Authenticity

Direct Lineage: Single-owner collection obtained directly from Bruce Kelly (DJ and Radio Personality)
Official Plaque: The presentation plaque clearly displays the official RIAA certification and Bruce Kelly / KZZP provenance.
Period-Correct: All components, frames, and mini-covers are original to the era of presentation.

Authenticity Note Regarding These Awards:
Please note that these awards were presented directly to prominent Arizona radio personality Bruce Kelly in-studio during his broadcasting career in the mid-to-late 1980s. While some of these pieces honor albums originally released in the 1970s, they are official record label "late presentations" ordered during the RIAA hologram era (post-1985). They feature 100% original, unaltered components—including the authentic RIAA holographic security seals on the front plates and the original Fitzgerald Hartley Marketing silver manufacturing stickers intact on the backings. They are not modern reproductions or modern re-issues; they are genuine, historical 1980s industry presentations.Condition Report

Front Display: The frame, glass, matte, and award disc are intact and present beautifully for display.
Reverse Side: The frame is structurally sound, and the backing is intact.
Visual Documentation: Please review the high-resolution photos to inspect the exact condition of the corners, edges, and backing paper. Please note that the photo in the top left of the shadow box needs to be centered, as the adhesive has begun to dry out.

Secure Packing: Shipped in a heavy-duty box with industrial-grade bubble wrap.
