In recent years, many labels have tried to get the Augsburg band OVERDOSE\'s iconic 1985 album “To The Top” from 1985 for a re-release - without success. At Golden Core, too, the research took over a year (!) until they were actually in contact with the original member “Coco”, who agreed to a re-release.
The group was only active for just under three years and there were no further recordings either before or after the LP. Instead of a demo, they invested in an in-house pressing. The rest is history and pure horror for collectors who want an original of this rarity. The varied heavy metal, from the fast opener and title song “To The Top” to the closing hit “Rockfever”, is not only rare, but also rousing and simply good.
The re-release on Golden Core has to do without bonus tracks this time, but the inlay does offer an interview with the original member “Coco”, which finally sheds light on the matter. The audio transfer was carried out by Patrick Engel from an unplayed (!!) LP, the remastering was then carried out by Neudi. Of course, a separate master was created for vinyl.
