Up for sale is a beautiful, collector-grade, near-mint copy of Journey’s landmark 1979 album, Evolution. This is an incredibly rare find in this condition, perfect for an archivist or serious fan of classic arena rock.

Key Highlights & Condition Details: The Vinyl (NM): Only played twice! The vinyl retains a beautiful high-gloss sheen. Play-tested completely through; any light surface blemishes are totally inaudible during music tracks.

The Jacket (NM): Still preserved in its original factory shrink wrap (opened carefully along the side to access the record). The jacket is exceptionally crisp with sharp corners.

Features the original vintage retail store sticker and the highly sought-after original hype sticker ("Produced by Roy Thomas Baker" / Featuring the hit "Just The Same Way").

The Inner Sleeve (EX / VG+): Includes the original custom printed lyric inner sleeve. The graphics are clean and crisp, with only the standard, minor seam splits on the bottom and one side panel typical for vintage paper storage.

Pressing & Matrix Runout Details: This is a true 1979 first US pressing stamped at the Columbia Terre Haute plant:

Side 1 Matrix: PAL – 35797 – 1 H (followed by a "1" and a large "T", with "1–1" on the opposite side)

Side 2 Matrix: BL – 35797 – 1 H (followed by a "1 T", with a stamped "A" or "V" and a small "2" on the opposite side)
