Funkadelic - One Nation Under a Groove Vinyl LP 1978 Warner Bros BSK 3209 VG+.Up for sale is an exceptional original 1978 US stereo first pressing of Funkadelic’s legendary P-Funk masterpiece One Nation Under a Groove (Warner Bros. Records, BSK 3209). Consistently ranked among the greatest funk albums of all time, this essential release features the massive anthemic title track "One Nation Under a Groove," alongside foundational jams like "Groovallegiance" and "Who Says a Funk Band Can't Play Rock?!".This specific copy is a verified Capitol Records Pressing Plant, Los Angeles first pressing (LW). This is confirmed by the distinct hand-etched matrix markings running alongside the prominent "LW" signature and the hand-etched "6" indicator in the deadwax. Housed in its authentic 1978 vintage jacket with the original printed lyric inner sleeve insert and the iconic multi-colored Warner Bros. cream-tiled logo center labels.Condition (Media/Sleeve): VG+ / VG+ (Vinyl looks great, displaying a deep black reflective mirror gloss under standard room light. Shows only a few light, superficial handling marks or faint paper scuffs from the inner sleeve that do not affect playback quality; it will play with fantastic, warm clarity. The outer jacket is crisp and rigid with clear spine text and firm seams, showing only very minor light vintage shelf storage wear. The original printed inner lyrics sleeve insert is included and grades at a solid VG+ with no major splits).Pressing Details: US First Pressing, Capitol Los Angeles Plant Press, Matrix Side 1: BSK-1-3209 LW6 #1.Shipping: Ships securely in a dedicated cardboard vinyl mailer. The record will be carefully packaged inside a protective sleeve outside of the jacket cover to ensure no seam splits occur to the jacket during transit.Note: This record is part of a massive collection of 1,300 albums that I lovingly inherited from my late father. They have been safely stored away for the last 7 years. Because of the sheer volume, I am grading them visually under bright light and cannot play-test every track. They are being sold in their authentic, as-found condition and will naturally have some light surface dust from storage, so they will benefit from a standard cleaning before playback. I am listing new titles daily! If you are looking for a specific artist or album from his era, please message me—I am happy to check the stacks for requests and combine shipping to save you money.
