Eddie Harris – I Need Some Money (1975)

Original-era 1975 Atlantic Records stereo LP, catalog number SD 1669.

A fantastic slice of 1970s jazz-funk from legendary saxophonist Eddie Harris! Known for his innovative electric saxophone playing and adventurous musical style, Harris delivers a groove-heavy album blending jazz, funk, soul, and electronic experimentation.

Highlights include the socially conscious title track “I Need Some Money,” the nearly ten-minute funk workout “Get on Down,” and the extended groove “I Don’t Want Nobody.”
