Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - American Dream Vinyl LP 1988 Atlantic First Press VG.Up for sale is a highly unique original 1988 US stereo first pressing of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young’s gold-certified reunion studio album American Dream (Atlantic Records, 81888-1). Marking their highly anticipated second studio album together after an 18-year hiatus, this late-80s release features core folk-rock essentials like \"American Dream,\" \"Got It Made,\" and Neil Young\'s \"This Old House.\"This specific copy is an exceptionally rare find for preservationists, as the outer single-pocket jacket remains completely encased in its original factory shrink wrap with both the vintage hype sticker (\"14 NEW SONGS BY CROSBY, STILLS, NASH & YOUNG\") and the original retail price tag fully intact. The jacket has only been carefully sliced open at the side entrance. This copy is a verified Allied Record Company first pressing, as confirmed by the clear \"-AR\" suffix printed on the center labels and the hand-etched \"Allied\" logo block running alongside a machine-stamped \"ɑ\" and Specialty Records plating codes (△ 22613) in the deadwax. Housed with the original multi-colored green and red Atlantic text ring center labels.Condition (Media/Sleeve): VG / NM (Vinyl displays an absolutely stunning, flawless factory mirror gloss across the grooves; however, it has a prominent visual fingernail scratch crossing the tracks on Side 1 as captured in the close-up photo. The disc has been play-tested and does not skip, but it does introduce audible background clicks when the stylus passes over the scratch. The outer jacket is in pristine, immaculate Near Mint archive condition due to the factory shrink wrap protecting all edges and surfaces perfectly. The original printed inner lyric sleeve insert is included but features 1.5” to 2” splits on both side edges).Pressing Details: US First Pressing, Allied Record Company Press, Allied Logo Stamp, Specialty Metalwork, Matrix Side 1: ST-A-887219-AR ɑ Allied [Allied Logo Stamp] △ 22613Shipping: Ships securely in a dedicated cardboard vinyl mailer. The record will be carefully packaged inside a protective sleeve outside of the jacket cover to ensure no seam splits occur to the jacket during transit.Note: This record is part of a massive collection of 1,300 albums that I lovingly inherited from my late father. They have been safely stored away for the last 7 years. Because of the sheer volume, I am grading them visually under bright light and cannot play-test every track. They are being sold in their authentic, as-found condition and will naturally have some light surface dust from storage, so they will benefit from a standard cleaning before playback. I am listing new titles daily! If you are looking for a specific artist or album from his era, please message me—I am happy to check the stacks for requests and combine shipping to save you money.
