Bob Dylan Blonde on Blonde 1966 MONO First Press Banned Claudia Cardinale Cover:
$275.00

highly coveted, genuine 1966 US First Mono Pressing of Bob Dylan's masterpiece, Blonde on Blonde (Columbia C2L 41).
This copy features the rare, original 9-photo inside gatefold sleeve including the withdrawn portrait of actress Claudia Cardinale on the right panel. This jacket layout was rapidly recalled and altered by Columbia shortly after release due to a photo rights dispute, making it a true grail for Dylan collectors.
Pressing Details:
• Label: Columbia "2-Eye" Red Label
• Audio: Original MONO mix ("360 Sound" in white text)
• Catalog/Matrix: C2L 41 / CL 2516 & CL 2517
Condition Grading:
• Jacket (VG): Shows honest vintage shelf wear, edge rubbing, and minor corner softening consistent with age. Inner gatefold graphics and the banned Claudia photo remain bright, clean, and completely intact. No major seam splits.
• Vinyl (VG to VG+): Both discs retain a high vintage gloss. Side 1/2 has a few very light paper scuffs; Side 3/4 shows more visible light hairline surface scuffs under direct light.
• Play-Testing: Please watch the included gallery video to hear the actual audio playback! The record plays through strong with great mono punch and minimal vintage surface noise. No skips or deep, feelable scratches.
Shipping:
Will be shipped professionally in a dedicated cardboard record mailer. The vinyl discs will be removed from the gatefold jacket and placed in separate sleeves during transit to prevent any seam splits. Fully insured tracking included.
