They are not ordinary commercial record releases. An unusual surviving collection of late-1940s U.S. government international radio broadcasting material with jazz, big-band and broadcasting-history interest.Collector notes: These are oversized approximately 16-inch professional radio transcription discs, 33⅓ RPM, lateral cut, with outside-start grooves. Original labels carry U.S. Department of State / International Broadcasting Division identification, program and master numbers, broadcast dates and production markings. Several date from 1949. These were created for international radio broadcasting rather than normal commercial retail sale and are of interest to collectors of Voice of America, vintage radio, jazz, big band, broadcast transcription discs and U.S. broadcasting history.Please note: The 14 - count refers to 14 physical discs.
