Step into the realm of astrology and the vibrant spirit of the 1960s with this extraordinary vintage Astromusical record set, brought to you by Astro Stereo. Immerse yourself in the Age of Aquarius, when the hippie and flower power movement reached its peak.

In 1969, GWP Records of New York City introduced a special edition record series dedicated to popular astrology. Renowned astrologer Carrol Righter wrote extensive articles about each zodiac sign. These articles were beautifully packaged within gatefold albums, adorned with fashion models donning specially tailored outfits for each sign, designed by Oscar De La Renta. The hair styling was crafted by Paul Mitchell for Henri Bendel, and the photography was captured by Francesco Scavullo. The overall package design was masterfully executed by art director Bob Cato.

Within these lavish gatefolds, you will discover two different pictures—one gracing the inside of the gatefold—accompanied by an 11-page booklet penned by Carroll Righter, on the right half of the inner gatefold.

While the focus of this collection lies in the packaging and astrology content, the music within the Astromusical Series consists of orchestral tunes and popular hits from the 1960s era. Produced by Paul Robinson and arranged and conducted by Ed Bland, the music serves as a backdrop to the mesmerizing artwork and astrological exploration. Though the music may not be deemed extraordinary, it perfectly complements the packaging design—a true testament to the late sixties' aesthetic and vibe.

This collection was sourced from an LA estate sale and although the covers show a bit of wear (VG++) the records themselves look as if they’ve never been okayed and interior art/booklets are excellent, near-mint condition. Each record will have its own plastic sleeve.

Note: it’s very RARE to find the full set of all 12 zodiac signs.
