Soda landed their record -deal with the song "Summer Delight" in
1997. During the winter this song was recorded in Westside Studios,
where Soda also recorded "I Wanna Be". In March 1998, "I Wanna Be"
was released in Norway and achieved frequent radiotime, although it
was not a sale success. "Summer Delight" hit the stores in June 1998,
while Soda recorded the album "Sodapop" in Brygga Studios at the same
time. The producer of the album was Ulf Risnes, a well-known
producer, songwriter and artist. The next single released from the
album was "Forever" which also did well on the radio, but even here
the sales were low. In January 1999, the turning point came when "2
Cool 2 B Cool" was released. The song hit the radiocharts with a
bang, and now Norway was ready to welcome the album "Sodapop". After
its release in March 1999, it went straight to nr.3 on the album
charts in Norway, and stayed there for quite some time. In Norway the
sales stopped went platinum, way more than anyone could have
imagined! Return to my Soda Page Website © 2000-2008 mattsmusicpage.com. All rights reserved. Operated by MM Page, LLC
