Some Days Are Better Than Others U2
Bass intro (don't forget to tune drop D 1/2 step down):
"Some Days" bass intro correction: 1---------------------------------------------------------- 2---------------------------------------------------------- 3---------------------------------------------------------- 4---------------------------------------------------------- 5---3/5---0---3---3---3---5-------------------------------- 6-----------------------------------------------------0---0 (repeat through verse, with one change during the 3rd line)
Some days are dry, some days are leaky Some days come clean, other days are sneaky
Bass:
1-------------------- 2-------------------- 3-------------------- 4-------------------- 5---3/5\-------3/12\- 6--------------------
Some days take less, but most days take more Some slip through your fingers and onto the floor
Some days you're quick, most days you're speedy Some days you use more force than is necessary Some days just drop in on us Some days are better than others
Chorus (with delay):
1-------12---------14---------12---------10---9---7---5-10--- 2---14--------14---------14---------14----------------------- 3------------------------------------------------------------ 4------------------------------------------------------------ 5------------------------------------------------------------ 6------------------------------------------------------------
Some days...it all adds up And what you've got is enough Some days are better than others
Some days are slippy, other days sloppy Some days you can't stand the sight of a puppy Your skin is white, but you think you're a brother Some days are better than others
Some days you wake up with her complaining Some sunny days you wish it was raining Some days are sulky, some days have a grin And some days have bouncers that won't let you in
Some days you hear a voice Taking you to another place Some days are better than others
Solo (with lots of distortion):
1------------------------------------------------------- 2---7b(8)---7------------------5---7b(8)---7b(8)---7---- 3-------------------------7----------------------------- 4------------------------------------------------------- 5------------------------------------------------------- 6-------------------------------------------------------
1-------------------------------------------------------------- 2------------5---7---7b(8)---7b(8)---7b(8)---5----------------- 3---7----------------------------------------------------7----5 4-------------------------------------------------------------- 5-------------------------------------------------------------- 6--------------------------------------------------------------
1------------------------------------------------------ 2---7---8---7---8---7---8---7-------------------------- 3-----------------------------------------------------8 4------------------------------------------------------ 5------------------------------------------------------ 6------------------------------------------------------
For the last verse if you listen closely, you can hear Edge playing an overdub with similar distortion during Bono's vocals:
1--------------------------------------------------------- 2---12b(14)------12b(14)---10----------------------------- 3--------------------------------------------------12---11 4--------------------------------------------------------- 5--------------------------------------------------------- 6---------------------------------------------------------
Some days you work, most days you're lazy Some days you feel like a bit of a baby Looking for Jesus and His mother Some days are better than others
Some days...you feel ahead You're making sense of what she said Some days are better than others
Some days you hear a voice Taking you to another place Some days are better than others
(the outro solo is pretty much the same thing as the solo in the middle, so work with that and have some fun)
