Vintage Musical Chalet with REUGE Swiss Musical Movement and Moving Water Wheel

Charming vintage miniature chalet music box featuring a wind-up musical mechanism and decorative rotating water wheel.

The original underside label identifies the REUGE Swiss musical movement and the German melody “Es steht eine Mühle im Schwarzwälder Tal” (There Is a Mill in the Black Forest Valley).

IMPORTANT CONDITION DETAILS:

- The musical mechanism does play, but runs noticeably slowly and struggles to maintain a consistent tempo.

- The exterior water wheel turns when the music plays, but rotates slowly.

- Full and proper musical operation cannot be guaranteed.

- One small decorative shrub is missing from the front.

- Shows signs of age and previous use. Please examine photographs for cosmetic condition.

This charming vintage chalet is being offered AS-IS for decorative display, restoration, or repair. The musical mechanism has not been serviced or repaired.

A lovely collectible for admirers of vintage European chalet decor, miniature buildings, and mechanical music boxes.

Please review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the description.
