Vintage Wooden Jewelry / Trinket Music Box with Reuge Swiss Musical Movement

This charming vintage music box combines two appealing vintage elements: a warm wooden jewelry/keepsake box and a genuine Reuge Swiss musical movement.

The carved sunburst-style lid decoration and colored interior give it a wonderful mid-century appearance.

It would make a lovely functional display piece for a dresser or vanity, with room for jewelry, small keepsakes or treasured mementos while retaining the charm of a traditional wind-up mechanical music box.

The interior provides a generously sized storage compartment for jewelry and small keepsakes, along with a separate covered compartment housing the musical mechanism.

The movement is marked “REUGE SWITZERLAND,” and the original underside instruction label identifies it as an imported Swiss musical movement.

The music box was tested prior to listing. It winds and plays, and the mechanism appears to be operating properly.

Condition

Vintage pre-owned condition with normal wear consistent with age and use. The wood shows minor surface wear/variations, and the fabric-lined interior shows some age-related wear and discoloration.
