"Princess Secrets" wardrobe model was released in the late 1990s/early 2000s. It was designed to build on the '90s fascination with hidden storage ("secrets") by trading the standard, flat music box layout for an elaborate upright doll-wardrobe design featuring wing doors, pull-out ring nests, and a secret bottom drawer.

The Origins of the Brand The Lucy Locket line was originally created in the 1990s by Bluebird Toys, a prominent British toy manufacturer famous for inventing the wildly successful Polly Pocket line. While Polly Pockets were micro-sized compacts, Bluebird Toys launched Lucy Locket as a "jumbo-sized" companion brand. The name itself was pulled from the classic English nursery rhyme ("Lucy Locket lost her pocket, Kitty Fisher found it..."
