Vintage 1970s Sankyo Japan Ornate Ormolu Jewelry Music Box - AS IS / Continuous PlayAdd a beautiful touch of mid-century Hollywood Regency elegance to your vanity or shelf display with this ornate vintage footed trinket box. Crafted in Japan by Sankyo during the 1970s, this footed hexagonal box features heavy antiqued gold-tone scrollwork, scrolled feet, and an amber-colored faux-tortoiseshell lucite lid insert topped with a highly detailed, sculptural rose branch emblem.The interior features a clear gold-scrollwork viewing window showing the mechanical gear movement inside. It is wound from the bottom key and plays the classic 1970 pop hit "We've Only Just Begun" by The Carpenters with excellent clarity.PLEASE NOTE (CRITICAL CONDITION DETAILS): This item has two mechanical flaws and is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, repair, or stationary display:

Detached Lid: The rear metal pin hinge has broken, and the lid is completely detached from the base structure. It sits securely and squarely on top of the box for flat display but lifts off completely.
Missing Stopper Pin (Continuous Play): The small spring-activated push pin that detects whether the lid is open or closed is missing. Because this automatic brake mechanism is gone, the music box will play continuously once wound until it completely runs out of power. It cannot be paused manually by replacing the lid.
