THE CLASH - Gates Of The West 12\" Promo Vinyl EP1979 Epic AS 617 - MINT Un-played

***This item is a 1979 12-inch promotional sampler vinylEP from The Clash, issued by Epic Records.

This is pretty RARE as it was NEVER released to thepublic. We actually got this BEFORE their debut Album got to us.

This didn’t fit our format at the station and was neverplayed. I’ve taken it out and checked it out, that’s all. This landed in mycollection as all records that didn’t fit did. I was the PD.

When Epic Records released the official US version of TheClash\'s self-titled debut album in 1979, initial retail LP pressingsincluded a bonus 7\" single with Gates Of The West and GroovyTimes. To promote the release to radio stations, press outlets, and clubDJs, Epic pressed this special 12\" white-label promotional samplerfeaturing those two tracks alongside I Fought The Law.

The plain white jacket with the gold embossed CBS promostamp (\"For Promotion Only - Ownership Reserved By CBS...\") isstandard for official US Columbia/Epic DJ and radio promos from this era.

Please look at all the pictures before buying. I really tryand show everything. I’m using a high end camera for the best quality photos, and shoot many angles and parts of everything we sell. You’ll notice thedifference. You can’t tell quality with one photo or even a few with a cellphone.
