It's 21 songs( with bonus 45) explore the full continuum of the human experience and Stevie Wonder as only the "musical genius" can do ." Songs in the Key of Life" showcases the immense musicianship and insight into life's journeys, that have made Stevie one of greatest lyrisct and song writers of our time.Unlike many of my other listings, I find "Songs in the Key of Life " and Marvin Gaye's " What's Going On", the most difficult LPs to write a brief description ( even with the help of AI) :) about. I just can't put it into words.In this LP Stevie journeys from his childhood days "I Wish", to the birth of his daughter in "Isn't She Lovely" to homage to the Jazz greats, "Sir Duke" and dealing with societal issues of the present and past in "Pastime Paradise". Again, I cannot do justice in writing a brief description of " Songs in the Key of Life". I can only tell you there is a reason why it remains one of the "Top 5 Greatest Albums of All Time" according to Rolling Stone. I will just share the LPs accolades and tracklist to follow but to me it's my #1.The LP dominated the 19th Annual Grammy Awards in 1977, earning Wonder four awards out of seven nominations.* Album of the Year: This marked Wonder's third Album of the Year win in a four-year span, a historic achievement that remains unmatched.
