Extremely rare original 1961 Loyola University of Los Angeles recording of the Fourth Annual Spring Sing, presented by the Loyola University Glee Club.

This appears to be a very limited private event recording rather than a commercially distributed album. I have been unable to locate another example of this exact 1961 recording for sale or documented online. I cannot confirm that it is literally one of a kind, but surviving copies appear to be exceptionally scarce.

Original 33 1/3 RPM LP with original illustrated “’61 Loyola Spring Sing” cover and original paper inner sleeve.

The record features performances by Loyola University students and groups associated with Marymount, Mount St. Mary’s College, St. Vincent’s College of Nursing and other Southern California Catholic schools and organizations.

The vinyl remains glossy and appears quite nice for its age, with light signs of handling and use. It has not been play tested.

The original cover shows substantial age-related wear, including staining along the bottom, discoloration, edge wear and separation or wear along portions of the seams. Please examine all photos carefully for exact condition.

A fascinating piece of early Los Angeles and Loyola history, recorded more than a decade before Loyola University and Marymount College formally combined as Loyola Marymount University.
