Per Wikipedia,The Lively Ones, originally The Surfmen, were an American surf music band from southern California in the 1960s.They played live mostly in California and Arizona. They recorded for Del-Fi records with production from Bob Keane.They recorded mostly cover songs, but there were a few originals.They are best known with these members: Jim Masoner, lead guitar: Ed Chiavernni; Ron Griffith; Joel Willenbring; Tim Fitzpatrick. The album, Surf Drums is the group\'s second recording and was released in June, 1963 on the Del-Fi Record label. This particular recording is a first editiion, monaural release and was manufactured by Monarch Record Mfg. Co. The album consists of 12 tracks with a 32+ minute run time. The cover is in VG+/EX condition, still in its original vinyl cover, with only very mild wear on the lower right corner. There are no split seams or marking and no sign of disk ring wear. The paper inner sleeve is original and intact. The record has been cleaned and tested using Audacity and all tracks are free of skips and there is no background noise. The record surfaces show no sign of wear and no obvious defects. The sound is strong and exceedingly clean. By Goldmine standards for grading records, this recording would rate EX/NM and is of \"audiophile\" quality. This is a \"one-owner\" from a private collection and a wonderful addition to any collection.
