Native American Style Pueblo Double Sided Log Drum 8"x 10" Rawhide Wood + Beater:
$79.00
Crafted from a hollowed natural wood log with genuine animal rawhide on both ends and secured with traditional zigzag rawhide lacing. Features a twisted rawhide handle for easy holding. Produces a nice hollow, resonant tone when played. Includes the original soft-headed wooden beater (mallet). This is a classic Southwest Pueblo-style hand drum (similar to Taos or Cochiti styles) — great for drum circles, meditation, decoration, or collection.
I purchased this in Santa Fe, New Mexico in the 1980s or early 1990s. These smaller log drums were commonly made in the traditional Pueblo form for the Southwestern market during that period.
Condition: Good used condition. Hide is intact and playable, lacing is secure, wood shows natural character and light wear consistent with age/use. No major damage.
Measurements: Approx. 8" x 10"
Materials: Hollowed wood, animal rawhide, wood beater with hide-covered head
