And All !!! of the proof is right-here - wrapped up in this nice little Box Set ...... Six ( 6 ) CD's worth !?!?! Whoa !!! ... as this-one is an instant Treasure !, and a instant Classic !! The fact here is, this is the very 1st pro-release Eve r! that has a complete Weir & Wasserman Show included, and it is packaged so elegantly - along with J.G.B. style Rock 'n Roll !! ... the Jerry Garcia Band !!! Wow ... and these selections - Two ( 2 ) Full Shows, including both the " Bob & Rob " set - along with the two " J.G.B. " sets ... for ' both-nights ' -- and they flat-out Rock ! Keep in mind, as you are likely already aware ... way-back in '89, on this Fall Tour by the J.G.B. - Weir & Wasserman were opening ! And these were the early-days of " Bob & Rob " jamming their new Acoustic thing - and, as for the Garcia Band ... well, the fact is - this was their 1st return Back East for 2-Years ( dating back to the NYC Lunt-Fontanne Broadway run ! ) ... and prior to that, wow ... as you're going all the way back to the Mid-'80's ! So yes, these choice East Coast Venues were packed solid & sold out - Dead Fans ! and Garcia !! & Weir !! Fans !!! most eager to see this double-header Deadhead Dynamic Duo ! Dating back to the early 2000's ( 2004 specifically ), we are finally seeing & hearing ! some J.G.B. being released with consistency - & Thankfully ! But, as far as these powerful Bob & Rob Acoustic Shows !?? This is very-special indeed, as I believe there has only ever been one release ?!? And that was a release in the Mid-'90's ( 1997 ) release, simply titled ' Weir and Wasserman Live ' ! I've always thought these Bob / Rob Shows had some very-special & serious Muscle ! But, they are really the type of Show that you have had to have seen Live ! - as when you saw them, and especially up close - their in-sync talent could blow you away ! Or, should I more appropriately say ... Bombs Away !!! And, as far as Garcia ?! Whoa ... as this is indeed this 1989-90 era pocket that we are talking about here, and Jerry could really do no-wrong. It all sounds Great ! Strong Vocals, and Killer ! Guitar-Attacks !! through & through -- and oh man, when he was ' really ' in the-mood ... Tiger's fret board would seriously pay the price !!! There are parts on this Fall '89 run that he just Hammers ! - and I am talking about right out of the Universe ! type stuff. His vocals are strong, his tones are brisk, and when he wanted to get moody ? Just Look-Out !!!!!?!!!! Blammo ... here comes the ' Real ' King of Rock 'n Roll ! - right through the PA's - taking No ! Mercy and/or Prisoners ! Basically, a live & in person Deadhead dream ... and on the East Coast ! - which, is pretty key being that the J.G.B. only really toured Back East two ( 2 ) more times after this run, in 1991, and again one final / last time in 1993. This, along with many other ' good ' reasons is why this guy ( me ! ) had to go & live as close as possible to the Warfield - back in the Early-'90s. Because as the old saying does indeed go ... " Muchas Garcias " !!!!!! Well, there are Four ( 4 ) CD's of that Garcia-Magic ! in this set - and Two ( 2 ) of Bob & Rob right in their ' Primetime ' too ... Fall '89 !!! A Time & Era when All ! of the Planets just pretty much aligned, for the Dead Fan Faithful ! Check out these set lists below, and En~Joy !!! A very-very Special ! release ... indeed.
