One of the most famous speeches in American history, preserved on vinyl.
On April 19, 1951, just days after being relieved of command by President Harry S. Truman, Douglas MacArthur appeared before a joint session of Congress and delivered what would become one of the most memorable addresses of the twentieth century.
The speech is best remembered for its closing line:
"Old soldiers never die; they just fade away."
The address marked a pivotal moment in American political and military history, touching on the Korean War, civilian control of the military, and MacArthur's long career in service to the United States. For historians, military collectors, and students of American history, it remains an important primary-source document.

We do our very best to grade records honestly and conservatively. Unless specifically noted, records are visually graded and have not been play-tested. Vintage vinyl can sometimes surprise you?both positively and negatively?and playback may vary based on your equipment and setup.
Most of these records have been around for decades, and while we carefully inspect each one, some imperfections simply cannot be detected without listening all the way through. We aim to describe condition as accurately as possible and would rather under-promise than over-promise.
Thank you for supporting a small seller who is doing his best to preserve and rehome these wonderful records.
