Back in April, I saw Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band for the first time. I was a casual fan, but was quickly blown away by the performance.Shortly after that, I told myself I should really check out his studio catalog and this would be a good place to start. Turns out, I’m just not a diehard like that. I’m cool with the Greatest Hits, so it’s time to clear some shelf space and get this to someone who will appreciate it more. Having said that…here are the details:Condition: The box is open and the records have only been played a handful of times. The 60-page book has never been removed from the box. Most of the album jackets have seam splits along the top, so please look closely at the pics. Also keep in mind the box is designed to look distressed and road-worn, so the scuffs and \"wear\" you see on it are part of the artwork. Check the pics to see exactly what you\'re getting, and if you have any questions, comments or concerns, reach out before offerding and I\'ll get back to you.Here\'s the Boss\'s first decade at Columbia in one box: all seven studio albums from 1973 to 1984, remastered and pressed on 180g vinyl across eight LPs.You get Greetings From Asbury Park, NJ; The Wild, The Innocent & The E Street Shuffle; Born to Run; Darkness on the Edge of Town; The River (2LP); Nebraska; and Born in the USA. That\'s the whole arc, from the wordy Jersey Shore kid on the debut to the stripped-down home recordings of Nebraska to the stadium-sized hits of Born in the USA.The sound is the big draw here. Bob Ludwig remastered everything from the original analog tapes, working with Bruce and his longtime engineer Toby Scott, using the Plangent Process to clean up wow, flutter and other tape issues. This was also the first time any of these albums got a remastered vinyl release. Each record comes in a recreation of its original packaging, and there\'s a 60-page book of rare photos, memorabilia and press clippings from his early years. The box itself is designed to look like a road-worn instrument case covered in tour stickers and passes, which is a nice touch on the shelf.Terms: No returns on media items.
