Bowling For Soup / The V.I.M.S. – Cell Mates – Original 1996 CDOne of the earliest and hardest-to-find pieces of Bowling For Soup history. This is an original 1996 CD copy of Cell Mates, the split album by The V.I.M.S. and Bowling For Soup, released on the independent Que-so Records label years before Bowling For Soup achieved international success. This is not a later compilation, reissue or reproduction. This is an original physical release from the very early days of Bowling For Soup.Cell Mates represents a completely different era of the band, featuring Jaret Reddick, Chris Burney, Erik Chandler and Lance Morrill, before Gary Wiseman joined the line-up.The original release is widely reported as having had a run of only 2,100 copies, making original surviving copies extremely difficult to find nearly three decades later. For collectors attempting to put together Bowling For Soup's earliest physical releases, Cell Mates is one of those albums that simply doesn't appear for sale very often.CONDITIONThe CD is in Very Good condition for its age.The original disc, artwork and inlays are all present and present very well considering the release dates from 1996. There are normal light signs of age/use consistent with an original CD of this age. Please study all photographs carefully, as they show the exact copy being offered for sale and form part of the condition description.PROVENANCEI acquired this copy a few years ago through a collector-to-collector trade, exchanging another rare Bowling For Soup release for Cell Mates. This copy came from a long-time Bowling For Soup collector in Texas, USA, before becoming part of my own personal BFS collection here in the UK.It has remained in my collection ever since.ABOUT THE PRICE 👀Yes, I know. The price is intentionally speculative.Original copies of Cell Mates appear for sale so infrequently that there simply isn't enough recent comparable sales data for me to confidently establish its current collector value.I'm in absolutely no rush to sell this copy and, given how difficult another original would be to find, replacing it could be extremely difficult.Rather than risk significantly undervaluing one of the hardest-to-replace pieces in my Bowling For Soup collection, I've set a deliberately ambitious Buy It Now price and enabled Best Offer.Serious offers are very welcome. If you're a Bowling For Soup collector who has spent years waiting for an original copy of Cell Mates to surface...Here it is. 🎳💿
