BLACK SABBATH – BLACK SABBATH (DEBUT)
1970 FRENCH VERTIGO SWIRL VO 6 GATEFOLD LPOffered here is an original 1970 French pressing of Black Sabbath’s legendary debut album on Vertigo Records, catalog number VO 6. This is the highly sought-after early pressing featuring the classic Vertigo swirl labels.VINYL: EX-The record is in excellent minus condition with a beautiful, clean and glossy playing surface. It shows only a few extremely light superficial scratches and good sign of careful handling. The Vertigo swirl labels are exceptionally clean and well preserved. I wanted to grade conservative it may be an EX condition but there are light scratches and rubs. I would still rate higher than VG+ grade. Any questions or request for additional photos, please feel free to reach out. GATEFOLD SLEEVE: VG+The original gatefold sleeve remains extremely attractive and displays beautifully. There is some staining near the upper-right area toward the middle, which accounts for the conservative VG+ grade. Otherwise, the sleeve is remarkably clean and well preserved for a record issued in 1970, with strong colors and an excellent overall presentation.MATRIX / RUNOUTS:Side 1: VO6 1Y 24211²
Side 2: VO6 2Y 24211 1113A beautiful and increasingly difficult-to-find French Vertigo pressing of one of the most important and influential heavy-metal albums ever released. An excellent collector’s copy with especially impressive vinyl and clean labels. The record will be carefully packaged outside the sleeve in a protective inner sleeve, reinforced with cardboard and shipped securely in a proper record mailer.
