Item Description

Here is a great piece for your buying consideration. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!


This ledger was issued in 1903. There are entries in it from the early 1900s. Lots of sketches, ledger entries, poems and even song lyrics. A couple or recipes thrown in as well!


Great sketch of Will Rogers on one of the early pages. The ledger appears to have originally belonged to someone with the last name of DeGroat whom appears to have resided in Michigan.


There is also the family history for an Myron Vandecar (b -1866) and Margaret Delight (b-1872) on a few pages. After first husband died in a train wreck in 1904, Margaret then married a Arthur Ray DeGroat.


Pages 186 to 199 and 201 to 238 are blank. Some of the ballads or poems seem to have been written when the party was still stationed overseas in Guadeloupe in the early 1920s.

    We take great pride in is our wrapping to ensure that yourorder is safely shipped to you.     We also obtain insurance on any item that was bought for $50or more, and require signature on delivery for items that are valued at over$200. Plus we have to pay the 11.75% ofthe final value and shipping fees that and PayPal charges.

    Returns Policy

    • Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of item where an item is not as described. The Buyer will be assessed a 10% restocking fee should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
    • Please note that a restocking fee is charged toto cover costs related to the loss of listing time and other potential sales, plus the amount of care and time that goes into preparing our unique and fragile items for shipping.
    • In accordance with \'s Buyer Protection Program, the 10%restocking fee noted.
