Scarce ORIGINAL, VINTAGE 1917-1918 3 1/2\" x 5 1/2\" halftone photo card featuring \"Princess Pauhi\" and the \"Hawaiien (sic) Song Birds\" in \"A Day In Old Hawaii.\"
Research indicates \"Princess Pauhi\" was the stage persona of entertainer Lizzie Wallace, who was not Hawaiian but was an African-American stage performer. The act featured the steel guitar and the Princess doing a hula dance!
I\'m told this is a very scarce card, I can\'t find evidence of any recent sales.
CONDITION: corner chipping as seen; some overall edge wear and aging.
