Here 'Tis

by: Ellas McDaniel ©Arc Music Corp

performed by: The Who (as The High Numbers), 1964

C XX555X (Not sure about these two, but these sound

D XX777X (like the right voicings)

G (T)3X5433

For each measure, the guitar plays a slight backbeat C and D chords

that were subtle enough for me to miss (thanks Litgo), but as can

be heard on the record, the end of each measure accents the G chord.

I filled in the chords for the first verse or so, and it continues

the same from there. A couple times the guitar does something a

little different, but this is essentially what is happening in this

song. As far as I know, this has been only commerically released

on the Maximum R&B box set.

Omitting choral "whoa, whoa, whoas", the lyrics.

Whoa, whoa, whoa.

Yeah, I say whoa, whoa, whoa.

I love my baby.

Yeah and my baby loves me.

Now when we get together,

Yeah, how happy we could be.

*The rhythm continues as such*

I say all day.

Yeah I say all night.

Now why I'm so unhappy?

Yeah my baby ain't treatin' me right.

I say all night long.

Yeah, I say all night long.

*Harmonica Solo*

I say all day.

Yeah I say all night too.

Now when we get together baby,

Ain't no tellin' what we might do.

I say all night long.

Yeah, I say all night long.

Now, whoa, whoa, whoa.

Yeah, I say whoa, whoa, whoa.

*Outtro Harmonica Solo*

I went ahead and transcribed the last lick.

(Harmonica arranged for guitar)
