During the chorus you play this 3 times, and on the third time you strum the G/F once and hold it the rest of the measure.

 

NOTE: I DID NOT INCLUDE THE RHYTHM/TEMPO FOR THE TABLATURE, MOST OF IT IS NOT HARD TO WORK OUT.

 

After the first chorus is played (at the very beginning) Jeff plays along with Em, but after strumming each chord once or twice he picks out different notes in the chord, here’s an example:

Pre-Chorus

 

This part is basically the same as the chorus, except you keep playing the G during the last measure instead of a G/F. After the first pre-chorus though, it changes to Am, C, G, G/F, Am C, G, G.

Bridge/Guitar Solo

 

The last chord in the chorus right before the solo is an E. After that last measure of the chorus, Em plays this:

 

E F (barre) G Am (barre)

 

You can play the G as a barre chord, but I prefer not to because the open G rings out a lot more; also, the reason for barring the others is so you can hear the ascending pattern with the notes on the high E string, and you can hear the high note in the G whether you play it open or not.

 

Over Emerson’s rhythm, Jeff plays the solo, which is fairly easy with a little practice. For the solo, I thought it would be easier to read if the notes weren’t written relative to the capo position, so don’t play them a fret higher.
