In a restoration personally overseen by Les Claypool, Primus' acclaimed release Sailing The Seas Of Cheese has been newly mixed in stereo for the first time since it's 1991 debut. Released in May of 1991, Sailing The Seas Of Cheese was Primus' second studio album and major label debut, featuring the singles "Jerry Was A Race Car Driver," "Tommy The Cat" (with Tom Waits voicing Tommy The Cat), and "Those Damned Blue-Collar Tweekers." The music videos for "Jerry Was A Race Car Driver" and "Tommy The Cat".

    Is It Luck?

    Les Claypool admits to being a fan of The Residents and it certainly shows in the music of Primus. I always thought Sailing The Seas Of Cheese is what The Residents would sound like if they were a hardcore/funk band. This album contains some of the bands best work including Jerry Was A Race Car Driver and Tommy The Cat. Nobody can play bass like Les Claypool. The guy is one of the most talented musicians I have ever come across. If you are looking to check into that strange crazy band you've heard your friends talking about this is a great place to start. 5 Stars.

    Sailing THe Seas Of Cheese

    Tommy the Cat, Jerry Was a Racecar Driver, Fish On- this is a most excellent collection of music- the only thing missing are clips of Claypool slapping his guitar!! I bought this CD to replace the one someone took from my music collection, and I will replace it again if I have to! This is music I will listen to for a long long time!
