If you listen to Carman, you know he doesn't do the same style twice on an album. He's tried everything from rap to country to rock to jamacian. But the theme is always the same... his belief in God. His Christmas album is no different. It came out in the 1980's and he's never done one since. He does some worshipful songs, some Elvis impersonations, some Jewish sounds... a wide mix. He has scripture read inbetween some of the songs, but they are surrounded by music and keep the theme going... telling the story of the first Christmas. If you put on the album to have just one mood, then this wouldn't be the one. This CD has a quiet "Away in the Manger" to a rockin' 1950's style beebop. I love this album because Carman has a way with words and bring the listener to understand and grasp the depth and meaning of the Christmas 2000 years ago. If you want songs about Santa, then you'll have to keep looking. :-)Read full review

I have played this CD for years. It is a Christmas tradition. I especially love to play this when baking Christmas cookies. Christmas just wouldn't be the same without it. Carman is awesome!
Great music; great singer! It's wonderful to have this out of print collection! So glad I found it! Big thanks! A++++++++!!!
