    STONE TEMPLE PILOTS DESERVE BETTER

    There's an old saying that goes you get what you pay for and it is especially true in regards to this budget box set that was put together buy the parent record company Universal. I was very displeased right from the very beginning when I opened up this box set and realize there were no liner notes for any of the albums the CDs themselves where generically labeled and cheap cardboard containers we're used to house the CDs. I don't know what it is with DVDs and CDs nowadays but there seems to be a trend towards packaging something up cheaply to sell at a cheap price so that the majority of people can own a box set of this or that. I am not impressed when I have to pay 35 Plus dollars and think I'm getting a great deal to get 5 albums at that price and realized that the packaging and ...

    THE FIRST TWO ALBUMS OUT OF THE FIVE ALBUMS INCLUDED IN THIS MULTIPACK ARE THE BEST GRUNGE ALBUMS EVER MADE. SCOTT WEILAND'S VOICE RANGE IS DEEP AND TUNES PUNCHY ENERGETIC ANGRY EMOTIONAL WEIRD AND WONDERFUL. THE LATER ALBUMS MORPHED INTO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLES, NOT AT ALL GRUNGE, WITH HIGHER PITCHED SOFTER SINGING AND SLOWER EXPERIMENTAL / ARTY (?) TUNES.
