    A Classic Artist's Best

    Billy Vera and the Beaters are not for everyone, but that is not to say that they are not both a classic act and classic art. Many Science Fiction and Fantasy fans will know Billy Vera as "Blue Blaze Irregular Pinky Carruthers" from the Buckaroo Banzai movie of 1984, but in fairness to Billy Vera and the Beaters they have had a solid musical career since the band was formed in 1979. Modeled on such 50s bands as the groups led by Little Richard and Ray Charles, the latter day fan may find some hits reminding them of Billy Joel or the early days of Huey Lewis. Everyone who loves the band will have their own favorite song, but for me nothing can eclipse the energy and spirit of "I can Take Care of Myself". Give them a try. You may become a fan as well.

    Very happy "At This Moment"

    Previous to purchaseing this CD, the only Billy Vera song I had ever heard was "At This Moment". That song was the reason for the purchase. I had no idea that he had several other songs that are also outstanding! The CD is an excellent listen. One of the best music purchases I have made in a long, long time!

    Hopeless Romantic is Great!

    I like Billy Vera's voice, he sings really well! He wrote most of the songs on this CD and he's a good writer too. You'll enjoy some really nice love songs and a few funny (to me) tunes. Overall a great CD that I listen to ever day!

    I have always been a billy vera fan. I had this cd years ago, but it got mis-placed some how. I always said if I had the chance to replace it I would. I love it.
