    G n r lies

I just got this cd yesterday, it came out nearly 30 years ago. 'Patience is one of the best songs on here. Aerosmith's 'Mama Kin' is a cover. There are 4 songs from 1986. 4 songs from 1988. One in a million will the last song is sure to offend people!

  • Classic G N' R

I was recently going through my old cassette collection and pulled out this classic. I had bought it back in 1989 when I was 11 years old, and though the cassette was warped and worn out, the songs still sounded fresh and current, 18 years after the album was released. This prompted me to go on Ebay and purchase it. The first four tracks are raw and unrelenting, recorded live back in 1986 before Guns N' Roses was a household name. They still sound great. The last four tracks are the hallmark of the album however. Recorded with mostly acoustic guitars, they show a softer, even humorous side of the Guns', capped off by the controversial "One In A Million", an instant classic that displays Axl at his fiery best. The combination of Izzy Stradlin on acoustic guitar ...

Axl Rose (vocals); Slash, Izzy Stradlin (guitar); Duff McKagan (bass); Stephen Adler (drums). Recorded between 1986 & 1988. When Guns N' Roses emerged from L.A.'s Sunset Strip scene in the mid-1980s, the band embodied a dangerous, snarling-attitude and slashing-riffs side of rock & roll that had been absent in the countless hair-metal bands cluttering the music industry at the time. Led by volatile frontman W. Axl Rose, G N' R was powered ...

  • GUNS N´ ROSES - GNR LIES: SHOCKING TRUTH

Originally slated for release on 11 October but eventually appeared worldwide on 5 December 1988. The album had a long name and it was shorten to: GN´R Lies. It´s an eight-track collection, half live and half studio, designed in the absence of any new material to meet the demand for more GN´R Product. Side A featured the original four tracks from the 1986 Live ?!*@ Like A Suicide EP. The live tracks are: " Reckless Life" Steven kick-starting the band into the brutal faster-then-the-speed-of-night riff, Axl leering like a jester, ´It´s my only vice!´ then scurrying like a rat through Rose Tattoo´s cheesy hymn to the depraved and the disposed, "Nice Boys (Don´t play Rock ´n´ Roll)", followed by their own early autobiographical stab at much the same thing in "Move ...

  • Great Album!

I remember first buying this album on cassette when I was around 12 or 13 years old. I thought it was great back then and I still listen to it today. I'm in my 30's now! Tracks such as "Patience", "Used to Love Her" and "You're Crazy" are classics. Hopefully, the original GNR crew will reunite one day.
