Museum Quality WWII-Era Troopship Serviceman\'s Ship History
Documented on a 1930\'s SS Stewart Guitar
The Guitar is a Late-1930\'s Model 7000 Series SS Stewart Tiger Flame
with History Documented by its owner, a Serviceman while serving on Three Different Ships
The USS General John Pope
USS Argentina
LST-580 (Landing Ship Tank)
All three are carefully and neatly carved on the side of the guitar.
On the Back of the guitar there are Over 40 Locations, also neatly carved,
from Europe to Japan, Plus the Command Posts in America.
Glasgow, Omaha Beach, Marseilles, Manila, Tokyo and many more
We have verified that the locations listed, match up with the ports these ships
either dropped off or picked up Active World War Two Servicemen.
The top of the guitar also shows more locations.
This guitar traveled around the world at a very important time in our history.
It represents literal years of one man\'s life spent aboard these ships, doing his part to protect others.
It is a Fascinating, One-of-a-Kind, World War II Artifact.
Other information- Comes in a nice Fender Case, which is newer addition,
and is being included to thoroughly protect your purchase in transit and storage.
There is a bit of separation, shown in photo #18. This is the only structural issue I see.
Also, we do believe we know the name of the Serviceman who this guitar belonged to,
and will provide it to the winning buyer.
Thanks for looking at this listing!
