Vintage Glass Drum Shaped Ornament~1 Side Sunburst 1 Side Shamrock 1930s Germany:

Offering a small feather tree size vintage fragile glassornament in a drum shape. The sides ofthis ornament are pink in color although you can see from the pictures thatthere has been some paint loss over its 80+ years. The two drum sides were once silver, but itdoes show some silvering loss.

One sideof the drum has a Shamrock that is painted in two-tone greens. The other side of the ornament has anembossed sun burst. There is moresilvering on this side. It is a smallornament measuring 1 3/4\" in diameter by 1 1/4” deep. There is some chipping under the metalcap. The metal cap is not marked, but Ifeel that it is from Germany. (#31b, b1)

Pleaseremember that vintage ornaments are usually from 40 to 80 years old. All have been used and are thus probably notgoing to be in perfect condition. Allare subject to some surface scratches, flaking to the paint, crazing of paint,age spots, oxidation, silvering loss, nicks around or under caps, may havetarnish / discoloration to metal caps, and some may not have the original caps. These are all signs of age ~ commonly called agepatina.

Condition of Items: I am out shopping constantly to bring you the best vintage holiday items I can find.Please keep in mind that vintage/antique items are OLD ~ 50 to 100+ years old. Thus, they will probably NOT be perfect. They may have paint loss, glitter loss, mica loss, dents, bumps, scratches. They have usually all been used in the past and thus have the patina of age and use. As with all my sales there plenty of pictures for judging coloring and condition - remember to supersize them for your best view ~ they are part of the description. Because they are items from bygone days, I cannot guarantee that they are from a smoke free or pet free environment. Every effort has been made to describe the item as accurately as possible. I urge buyers to examine all photos and descriptions carefully and to e-mail me with any questions, concerns, or clarifications prior to the end of sale. If I have made a mistake, refund is for item price not postage.
