This is a Vintage 1940s Sessions Banjo Clock that was converted to a Quartz MovementIt is the Mt. Vernon Model #2WThe clock is from the estate of a clock and watch repairman.
Measurements: length is 22 inches, Width is 7 inches at the widest part, depth is 2.5 inches and the dial is 5 3/4 inches.
The case is in good condition. The case has a few usage marks which are shown in the photographs. The wood has been cleaned and polished. The brass has not been polished to preserve the patina. The quartz movement is in working condition, but it is used. The Mount Vernon picture is in good condition.
Needs a AA Battery. Battery is not included.Note: To insert battery remove the back plate. Be sure the switch is set to on. To adjust the time, the back plate needs to be removed. Then turn the black wheel on the back of the battery movement. Be sure the dial is aligned properly when putting the back plate on and when tightening the two screws.
The Eagle finial has blue mounting putty on the screw part to keep the finial tight.The finial is wrapped and bagged in the shipping box.
