Before instinctively pressing the BUY button, please know these two things: 1) This is a great sounding, wonderful collection of Christmas music; 2) If you're here for the Carpenters record, which typically sells for more than the price of this lot of 10 records, be sure to listen to the sound sample video and read the description and look at the photos.
This lot contains ten wonderful Christmas LPs that were all cleaned and then fully play tested. Notes concerning condition and sound quality can be seen below. As a whole, the sound is mostly excellent on these records with some tolerable background record surface noise. See further comments below where each album is described.
Visual Record Condition:The vinyl condition varies from VG to EX. Individual LP grades are shown below. The records are still glossy with varying amounts of surface scuffs / scratches.Ticks and clicks are heard sometimes, but the records play with no skips or sticks and provide a satisfying listening experience.
Record Labels Condition:The record labels look great.
Jacket Type and Condition:The jackets conditions range from VG to EX with some amount of wear described below.All of the jackets are still visually pleasing and have been placed in brand new, protective poly outer sleeves to help prevent further wear.

The Albums In The Lot:
  1. Carpenters - Christmas Portrait - 1978 - Vinyl Condition: Graded VG even though the disc is glossy and looks more like high-end VG+ condition if one flaw is overlooked. The reason for the lower grade is a significant patch of scratches covering the middle section of Side 1 at the 4 o'clock position. There are some other light scuffs elsewhere. The record plays with superb sound quality over mild general background surface noise and occasional ticks/clicks. The problem is that the aforementioned scratch patch produces noticeable clicks over much of tracks 3, 4 and 5 on Side 1. A sound sample video in the photos section provides a two minute sample of the scratch patch play. Side 2 has a few ticks and pops, but nothing like the Side 1 scratch patch. Cover Condition: The album cover looks real nice and is graded EX. There is only light wear and a few surface creases. The spine text looks great. The inner sleeve is a white paper replacement.
  2. Kenny Rogers Christmas - 1981 - Vinyl Condition: VG+, glossy with some light surface scuffs that have little effect on play. The record is in the original, colorful, printed inner sleeve which shows a little wear but looks good. The record plays nearly perfectly with minimal to very mild record surface noise and excellent sound quality. Album Cover Condition: VG condition with some ring-wear, edge and corner wear and a few creases.
  3. The Norman Luboff Choir - Songs Of Christmas - 1967 - Vinyl Condition: VG, glossy with light surface scuffs. Disc is in a wax-paper-like inner with a little wear. The record plays great. General background record surface noise is heard as a mild crackle with light ticks occasionally throughout. The sound is excellent and enjoyable. Cover Condition: EX with only light wear and a little foxing on the back side.
  4. The Harry Simeone Chorale - Sing We Now Of Christmas (with original version of "The Little Drummer Boy") - 1959 - Vinyl Condition: VG, glossy with surface scuffs and some light surface scratches. The record is in a replacement white paper inner sleeve. This is an enjoyable, crackly record. Background surface noise is heard as mild to moderate crackle with occasional light ticks/clicks throughout. Excellent sound quality in the music though. Cover Condition: VG, The artwork still looks beautiful. Edge and corner wear is heavier with the top seam split half way across.
  5. Joyous Christmas - Various Artists - 1970 - Produced for the Beneficial Finance System - Vinyl Condition: VG+, very glossy with just a few light surface scuffs. Housed in original white paper inner sleeve which is in good shape, but discolored. The sound quality is excellent - it's a very pleasant record. General background record surface noise is very mild. Cover Condition: VG with light wear.
  6. Season's Greetings From Barbra Streisand ... And Friends - 1969 - Created for Maxwell House Coffee - Vinyl Condition: VG, very glossy with a few light scuffs/light scratches. The inner sleeve is a white paper replacement. The music sounds wonderful over very mild general background record surface noise and occasional light clicks/ticks. The music prevails and sounds good. Cover Condition: VG+ with mild wear.
  7. A&P Christmas Greetings Volume 3 - Various Artists - 1972 - Vinyl Condition: Glossy VG+ with a few surface scuffs. The inner sleeve is a white paper replacement. The record sounds great with mild general background record surface noise and occasional light ticks. Sometimes the light ticks are persistent, but I didn't find them bothersome. This is an enjoyable collection of songs. Cover Condition: VG+ with mild wear.
  8. Home For Christmas - Side 1 with vocals by John Rawles Orchestra and Chorus - Side 2 with organ/chimes instrumentals by Sy Mann at the Wurlitzer with Chimes - unknown release date - Vinyl Condition: VG+, glossy with a few light surface scuffs. The inner sleeve is a white paper replacement. The record plays well with mild general background surface noise and occasional light ticks. Cover Condition: Good looking VG+, but there is a short split on the top seam and a little corner wear.
  9. Great Songs Of Christmas By The Great Artists Of Our Time, Album Four - Produced for Goodyear - 1964 - Vinyl Condition: High-end VG, very glossy with some light surface scuffs. The paper inner sleeve appears to be original. The record plays with mild general background record surface noise. There are occasional light ticks - sometimes persistent - but nothing very bothersome. It's an enjoyable listen with great sound quality. Great Songs indeed! Album Cover Condition: VG+ with a little ring-wear and edge wear.
  10. Anne Murray - Christmas Wishes - 1981 - Vinyl Condition: Glossy VG+ with some light surface scuffs. The record is in its original white paper inner sleeve. Sound quality is excellent and the record plays with minimal background record surface noise. It's a very enjoyable collection of songs. Cover Condition: VG+ with mostly mild wear. There is a ding next to the spine about two-thirds of the way down from the top.

I generally pack and ship items sold right away and hand them over to the post office at the earliest opportunity (sometimes same day, sometimes next day). Don't worry. These records will be securely packed for safe shipping.
