The item you see in the picture is the item you will receive this thing is super neat I believe it still works as it should though I'm not an expert on these items the dial still moves freely that you can move on the big face the temperature thermometer still appears to work and then if you notice the smaller face appears to work as well once again I am not an expert so I do not know if these readings are 100% accurate I do know in my opinion that this thing is a really neat conversation piece that appears to work as it should I'm assuming that the rings around the faces are brass though I cannot be 100% sure it is solid wood it appears to all still be complete without any broken pieces this is quite old so it will show some signs of wear I'm assuming that the face of the item is glass though I'm not sure it bubbles out on both of them as it should it is not flat which is in my opinion more appealing it has the original hole in the top for hanging as you can see there is some scuffs on it but compared to the other ones I have seen this in my opinion is in very good shape for its age definitely more ornate than some of the ones I have seen listed made in the USA Swift instruments incorporated Boston Massachusetts definitely a neat piece time to start letting some things go so please check my other listings as I might have some other vintage items you might be interested in don't miss out on this one once again please look at the pictures for item condition as you will be receiving the actual item that is in the pictures have a great day.
