ULF LUNDELL: Vargmane (ULTRA RARE 2000 Swedish Limited Edition Import Deluxe Re-Issue)Ulf Lundell (born 20 November 1949 in Södermalm, Stockholm, Sweden, full name Ulf Gerhard Lundell) is a Swedish writer, poet, songwriter, composer, musician and artist.
He made his debut in 1975 with the LP Vargmåne and was immediately hailed as \"Sweden\'s Bob Dylan\". In 1976 his first novel, the partly autobiographical \"Jack\" was published by Wahlström & Widstrand. Lundell was influenced by musicians such as Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and writers such as Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg and other beats. Ulf Lundell is one of the central figures in Swedish rock music and almost since his debut he has been one of the most important influences on rock musicians writing and singing in Swedish. Lundell is also somewhat controversial and has argued with everyone from neo-nazis, feminists and communists to colleagues and music journalists.Vargmåne is the debut album by the Swedish rock artist Ulf Lundell. It was released in September 1975 on Harvest . It was recorded in EMI Studio, Stockholm and produced by Björn Boström. Vargmåne was released in 1992 on CD and released again in 2000 in a remastered edition with TWO BONUS TRACKS (see my pics) that Ulf Lundell recorded with a 4-track Tandberg Sound On Sound tape machine. The only music Lundell has not written by himself on the record is \"Jag går på promenaden\" which is the John Mayall song \"Walking on Sunset\". The album topped the Scandinavian charts and was considered, as the years went by, the equivalent of Neil Young’s “Harvest”.This CD is ULTRA RARE, is not the normal version, but a LIMITED EDITION TRI-FOLD LP STYLE with a beautiful lift out booklet complete with Lyrics. Due to being in storage for over 15 years there is slight wear on the spine (see my pics). I’ve taken $20 off the price for this.
