An original 1966 mono 1st on Decca Unboxed.. Matrix 2/3. Please take note of the deep groove - that\'s what helps signify 1st pressing. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover with the photo pages attached in the interior. We also have an original Decca inner sleeve too. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In lovely condition and good lustre. Under close examination I could only make a couple of light marks - nothing bad at all. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly Excellent level of playback with just one slight deviation per side. A great little player and is pretty clean throughout - even into those fussy numbers. And just remember most of these hits copies have been played to death...and it will show! But not here! This copy is very well preserved. PAINT IT BLACK - gives ya goose-bumps! As Time Goes By - plays clean and will trip up most copies. Satisfaction - often gets trashed - this copy plays great with no background noticeable at all really. Lady Jane [probably the fussiest track] plays really well. Nothing worse than some faint presence in one brief spot per side. Three or four minor ticks in one spot - that\'s all [hardy anything!!]. Much better preserved than the average copy that surfaces.
Cover (Vg+) A smart looking cover - many are going to be looking a bit beleaguered after 50+ years use. But this one is exhibiting really good colour retention with a nice solid opening panel. Clean and with just some feck marks top left [they have been there since manufacture!]. Some edge wear in the odd spot - but not bad. Interior looks great and photo pages are really good with just a couple of small marks. The spine is 80% intact with a bit of a dink/ding at the bottom. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg) Aged. But fully intact.
