CharlieWatts has added the word ‘love’ above his name. The autographs were obtained atthe Bull and Royal Hotel, Preston, Lancashire, England on 24thJuly1964 after the group’s performance in Blackpool, Lancashire, England earlier inthe evening. The concert went down in history as the group were performing infront of a capacity 7000 crowd. During the performance the crowd becomeagitated and starting to spit at the group, Keith Richards warned them but theywere ignored so the entire band fled the stage which caused the crowd to beginto smash up the entire ballroom, seats were torn up,crystal chandelierssmashed, the curtains torn down, even the piano was smashed to pieces. Afterthe concert Blackpool town council banned the Stones from ever performing inthe town again. The ban was only lifted 44 years later in 2008. The autographscome with a letter from a friend of the original recipient that reads ‘In 1964The rolling Stones stayed at the Bull and Royal hotel Preston whilst on their1964 UK tour. I was 13 years old at the time and was best friends with themanager’s daughter. I asked here to get me their autographs – and she did’Thepiece of card measures 5 inches x 6 inches.
